First Day at Belmont!
I am super excited so I am posting now. Drake just left not too long ago and I couldn't go back to sleep because I am just that excited about starting student teaching. It's going to be a lot of hard work but it is going to be so much fun. Yesterday we had our orientation and met with our site supervisor, there's only four of us at Belmont and they are all women I have had at least two or three classes with before. That's what I love about the education program here - there are enough blocks that you're not with the same people every single semester and you meet new people, but it's small enough so at least there are always familiar faces. Tom Wandzilak, the director of student teaching, suggested if you are working a job, you do so for no more than twenty hours a week. This is going to be a problem because I have 21 hours at Office Depot (Fri-Sun) and 16 at the testing center (Mon-Thurs). However, I got my refund check back from the university already for housing costs, so that will definitely help a lot. I am thinking about taking Saturdays off from Office Depot because I really do hate that job. That way the days are broken up a little and I only have to be in that place on Fridays and Sundays instead of the whole weekend. Plus I can take in a few football games as well. I know my bosses are not going to be happy, but it's just too bad - Office Depot will certainly not be MY career, I didn't spend a bajillion dollars at this stupid university just to be a cashier the rest of my life. I know I could move up rather quickly in the next few years, but who really wants to make Office Depot into a career? Not this girl. Anyway, now I must go get ready, I have to be there at nine and I still have to stop on campus and at the bank and stuff. I am super excited, this is going to be awesome!

It was! I got my plan book put together and everything! I am sooooooo excited!
